Junior Coaching and Advanced Junior Coaching is commencing every Saturday from 6th April 2024
BFCC offers within its Junior membership access to the wonderful sport of Mountain Biking and our aim is simple – to introduce the enjoyment and sense of achievement that riders of all ages and ability can reach by participating in cycling.
We are delighted by the number of Junior’s who participated in the Saturday Club each year, and we continue our successful formula of offering two ability streams for our Junior Club members – the Saturday Junior Club and the Advance Junior Club.
Attendance to the Saturday Junior Club is free for members and makes the best of the warmer months to ensure their participation in our sport remains fun and enjoyable. We commence the season in April and draws to an end in late September.
Riders within the Saturday Junior Club may be invited join the all-year-round Advance Junior Club when their ability reaches a competent level and thus enjoy the great British winter weather. Our focus for Advance Juniors will be coaching to race, outride’s, having fun and learning to train.
If any Parent/Guardian or rider has any questions, please refer to the Junior Club – FAQ sheet or better still do speak with any of our professional coaches – we are a friendly bunch and we are here to encourage cycling and to make it enjoyable & fun for all.
With all our Juniors’ we will be encouraging everyone to come along to our own BFCC Race Series to participate or just watch and cheer-on your fellow members. It’s a great morning event full of fun and thrills with the weekly coaching session on these days dedicated to supporting the young riders to race. We would actively encourage parents to join in, help and support the riders to participate. It’s a great family day.
The meeting and collection point will be at our training area. This is to enable our coaches to spend more time coaching our young riders.
We ask Parents & Riders to meet the coaches at the training area for 9.45am – please allow for a 10-minute walk to the training area from the carpark, which is located halfway up the fire road hill leading to the start of the single red route track – download advice and location map. For Parents/Guardians collecting children, we ask that you arrive promptly at the training area by 12 noon.
